The Lanterna is well dispersed and sanded. Her boilers x2 are upright but only show about 3 feet above the seabed. Aft of the boilers is what is left of the engine, this being upturned with the forked ends of the con rods pointing upwards. There is no sign of the crank or prop shaft, I should imagine this being long buried beneath the sand along with much else of the Lanterna. A small donkey boiler is to be found a short distance aft of the engine.
