The chalk gullies are situated between Sherringham and Weybourne. Unlike much of the diving in this area, diving the gullies is not dependent on slack water access. This is a dive that is best undertaken on a drift between slacks.
Life in and around the gullies is prolific, at depths of 4-8Mtrs there is plenty of time to take in all that is on offer.
The chalk gullies are part of what is now believed to be a 20 mile chalk reef stretching along the north Norfolk coastline, it is thought that the reef could well be some 300 million years old. Life on the reef is very diverse, sponges, sea slugs, crabs and lobsters being a common sight.
